1. Who We Are

The Tamil Nadu Inter-School Academic Championship (“TNIAC”, “we”, “us”) is conducted by TestSeriesPro, a brand of Flexitaskcraft Pvt Ltd (CIN: U74909TN2024PTC169770; GSTIN: 33AAFCF9102Q1ZD), with its registered office at No 15, 10th Street, Annanagar, Pattabiram, Chennai – 600072. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through championship.testseriespro.com and the TNIAC school portal, why we collect it, and how it is protected — including data belonging to children.

2. Information We Collect

From schools (at registration): school name, UDISE code, board of education, address, pincode/area/zone, principal/coordinator name and contact details, secondary contact details, total student strength, school logo (optional), and a portal login password.

From students/parents (at registration): student full name, class, school, and optionally student phone/email; parent/guardian name, relationship, phone number, and email address.

Automatically: basic technical data such as IP address and browser type, used only for security and site functioning.

We deliberately do not collect information we do not need to run the championship — for example, we do not ask for a student’s Aadhaar number, date of birth beyond what’s needed to confirm class eligibility, or any sensitive personal data unrelated to registration, examination, and result processing.

3. Why We Collect It (Purpose)

We use the information above only to:

  • Register the school/student and confirm eligibility;
  • Generate and issue hall tickets;
  • Conduct and administer the examination (including OMR scanning and evaluation);
  • Publish results and rankings;
  • Issue certificates, medals, and prizes (including verifying identity for cash-prize disbursement);
  • Communicate with schools, students, and parents about registration, exam schedule, results, and prizes;
  • Activate the complimentary TestSeriesPro access included with registration, where applicable;
  • Maintain records required for academic integrity, dispute resolution, and applicable legal/tax obligations (e.g., prize TDS).

We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not use student/parent data for unrelated marketing without separate consent.

4. Children’s Data and Parental Consent

Because TNIAC is a school competition for Classes 3–12, a significant share of the data we process belongs to minors. We collect and process a student’s information only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, given at the point of registration (school-led or individual). This consent covers collection and processing of the student’s information for the purposes listed in Section 3 — registration, examination, evaluation, result publication, and certificate/prize issuance — and is recorded and stored against the registration.

A parent/guardian may withdraw consent and request deletion of their child’s data at any time by writing to championship@testseriespro.com, subject to Section 7 (Data Retention) — for example, we may need to retain result records for a reasonable period after a prize has been disbursed for audit/legal purposes.

5. Photography and Video

TNIAC or its representatives may photograph or record video at examination venues and award ceremonies for promotional and record-keeping purposes, as described in our Terms & Conditions. Anyone who does not wish to be photographed/recorded may notify us in advance in writing.

6. How We Protect Data

  • Access to school and student records in our systems is restricted to authorised TNIAC/TestSeriesPro personnel who need it to perform their role.
  • Portal login passwords are stored securely and are not visible to TNIAC staff in plain text.
  • Payment details (where a registration fee applies) are processed directly by our payment partner; TNIAC does not store card or bank credentials.

7. Data Retention

We retain school and student registration, examination, and result records for as long as reasonably necessary to run the current and immediately following championship cycles, to resolve disputes or revaluation requests, and to comply with applicable tax/legal record-keeping requirements (e.g., prize disbursement records). Data no longer required for these purposes is deleted or anonymised.

8. Sharing of Information

We share personal data only with:

  • Our payment processing partner, to the extent needed to collect a registration fee (where applicable);
  • Service providers who help us operate the website, portal, or SMS/email communication, under confidentiality obligations;
  • Government or tax authorities, where required by law (e.g., TDS on prize money);
  • The participating school itself, for its own students’ registration and result records.

We do not share student/parent contact details with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.

9. Your Rights

A parent/guardian or school may contact us at championship@testseriespro.com to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about their child/school;
  • Correct inaccurate data;
  • Withdraw consent and request deletion, subject to Section 7;
  • Ask questions about how their data is used.

10. Cookies

The TNIAC website may use basic cookies necessary for the site and school portal to function (e.g., keeping a school logged in). We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the version published on this page applies to data collected from that date onward.
